Year 11 so far
So far the 2008 school year has gone pretty well for me. Tuesday I started at St Columba with an assembly, getting timetables and so on all sorted out. Total of three classes that day.

Wednesday, off to Coffs Harbour for the Year 11 study preparation camp. We started at Extreme Team at Karangi, doing six hours of boot-camp/scout-ish stuff, before going back to Southern Cross University. Thursday and Friday we had more activities, a uni tour, some presentations, including one by Edwina McCoy, North Coast BOSLO, about the HSC, where I picked up at least one factual error :P

Monday coming up, I have to figure out where my roll call actually is, where my house meetings are, what's up with sport, and what I ought to do in free periods, of which I have more than anyone else in class :D

[info]authress, [info]kyran, how's 2008 treating you so far?

2oo8 is the year of... nutsness - - its all a bit heywire, since the two DE subjects I picked may only pull through to one, I actually belong in the common room, marcus broke the blinds today... and last month "Mark" an I passed six months together.
ooo, and this chock is nice. I'm not surprised that your finding scas so big - I taught there for work experience, and it's HUGE. I got lost at one point. Just count yourself lucky that you dont have to navigate the staff corridors as well... the whole thing's like some rabbit warren. As for your frees, I suggest you catch up on your reading. The library is great - teach yourself to read manga or somthin - they have quite a few there if I remember correctly.
Why did you change schools?

What two you doing DE? SDD and physics, or something?

SCAS is only huge until you visit UNSW :P I have seen Staff Central briefly - it's massive...

As for my frees, I'm finding them being taken up by current affairs, politics and the like. ABC News Online rocks.

Tomorrow I have to be at school by 8 for Extension Maths...

Oh, and to answer your question:

* Christian + Ben transferring would have left me with no friends
* decent sized Physics class
* Legal Studies
* somewhat better facilities

Yeah, I know transferring away to SCAS doesn't particularly help Heritage to achieve the aforesaid, but right now I've got an HSC I need to get.

Gave up on SDD, physics is an actual class, so...
Its IPT and Textiles I'm working on. If they pull through...

you would be correct about the staff central, but I expect you've only seen it via the foyer - it's like the TARDIS: even bigger on the inside

lol extension maths. Mr. Kew hasn't started extension english yet. That's gonna be an interesting class.. we got me an Q an thats it. 11/12 combined class and its Mr. Kew teachin us.
woot.

OK, so Physics is running with you, Josh and the Year 12ers?

IPT's running at SCAS with three students (I know from Christian) and Textiles doesn't run AFAIK.

And yes, I've only seen Staff Central through the foyer and occasionally through some of the staff doors.

We have this Canadian guy as our StdEng teacher... quite interesting.
